Close-up of my lens alongside my spare so you can see the outer contour. The laserfit lenses are contoured on the inside and outside to follow the shape of the eye. So more of an even material thickness throughout.

So my impression of the trial lens is that it had more of a pronounced vault, and a cone or dome shape, making it feel bigger and thicker through through transitions. And making my lower lid (which has weakened muscle tone) protrude / slide down a bit.
